Introducing Whiskey Branch: A New, Gated Community

A secure, serene home

There are plenty of communities to search for new homes by home builders near me, but I found what might be the perfect answer in a quiet, park-like setting with serene woods. It’s the new gated Whiskey Branch community, which is just a few minutes from downtown Wilmington, NC. Whiskey Branch is chock-full of great features and situated outside the city limits with an exclusive number of new homes.

Whiskey Branch gives me better than average amenities, such as:

– A peaceful sanctuary surrounded by woods and ponds, with a creek bed and swaths of mature trees.

– Safety with three gated entries providing full security for easy access

-A beautiful saltwater pool with three 25-yard swim lanes

– A spacious clubhouse for my next celebration

– A fire pit for relaxing at sunset, and a generous community green for great lawn games and other enjoyments

Where to see it

Model homes (four to tour, but with plenty of choices) are over at The Forks, the Whiskey Branch sister community at 1751 Museum Drive in Wilminton. The master plan is on display there, with 156 single family homes and townhomes. All feature at least three bedroom, many with four.

What’s nearby

Despite the natural setting, Whiskey Branch is perfectly situated near high-end retail. The Whiskey Branch community is adjacent to the future commercial center just off South College Road and is three miles from Pointe at Barclay, a new center with a 14-screen Cineplex and plenty of shops, restaurants, and a fitness center. More shopping is five miles away over at the larger Independence Mall, which has a Sears, Dillard’s, and JC Penney, among others. For groceries, we have choices in Publix, Aldi, Pine Valley Market and Lowes Foods that are only 2 miles away, and Whole Foods and Trader Joes an additional three miles.

Getting away is easy, too, with the Wilmington International Airport located just 10 miles away. A beach weekend is a snap with Whiskey Branch only 8.3 miles from I-40 only for a trip to Raleigh, Greensboro or Asheville. A beach holiday is at my fingertips with Whiskey Branch affording an easy, 7.5 mile trip to the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge that gets me to Brunswick County, Leland, Southport and Myrtle Beach.

And the best part: Whiskey Branch offers one final, great bonus: it’s is outside the city limits, so I won’t pay city tax.
