The Dream is Back! The 27th Annual Parade of Homes
April 13, 2013
We’re proud to announce the latest news from Trusst Builder Group, one of the leading Wilmington NC builders.
The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association (WCFHBA) is excited to announce the 27th Annual Parade of Homes™ showcasing the craftsmanship, diversity and quality of the region’s premier homes and home builders. The 27th Annual Parade of Homes™ runs two weekends, Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th and Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th from noon to 5 p.m. each day free of charge.
For 27 years the Parade of Homes™ has been the first place for families interested in the Cape Fear region to explore the options of new homeownership – whether they are looking for a new home, a vacation home or planning to relocate to our area. The WCFHBA began their tradition of the annual Parade of Homes™ event in 1987. The premier event featured 26 homes dispersed across New Hanover County. The tour was held over one weekend in October and featured homes with prices averaging $100,000. “Today as our economy rebounds, so does our new home market,” said WCFHBA President Bert Exum. “You’ll see this reflected in the variety, quality and craftsmanship of this year’s Parade – The Dream is Back!” The 27th Annual Parade of Homes™ features 56 of the region’s top homes ranging in price from $130,000’s to $1 million plus.
The 2013 Plan Book Magazine, an invaluable resource for homebuyers, features renderings and floor plans for each entry along with detailed maps and directions to each home. The Plan Book Magazine, its cover showcasing an original piece of art highlighting the Wilmington waterfront, will be available soon at any home on the tour, at the WCFHBA office located at 3801-5 Wrightsville Avenue, in a StarNews special tabloid insert and on www.wilmingtonparadeofhomes.com. Prints of the artwork by local artist Mike Bryand are available for sale online at www.wilmington360.net.
The 27th Annual Parade of Homes™ also features two Association Houses built by Diamond Sponsors Stevens Fine Homes in Grayson Park and Trusst Builder Group in Hearthstone, both located in Brunswick County. “The Association Houses showcase the latest in products and building techniques; containing many upgrades awaiting that special homebuyer!” said Donna Girardot, WCFHBA Executive Officer. “These homes serve as a fundraising project for the WCFHBA and are two of many unique homes that you won’t want to miss!”
The difference is in the details… learn more about each Association House, their communities and builders below.

The Stevens Energy Wise System, which includes certification from a third party that all homes meet stringent energy efficiency and health requirements, typically cuts utility bills. Many people take advantage of 100 percent USDA financing to purchase a Stevens home.
Purchasing a home with Stevens Fine Homes is easy; a New Home Specialist is available at each community to help guide customers through the process. Buyers may choose from homes that are ready for occupancy or work with one of Stevens’ Design Consultants – in the company’s 2,500-square-foot Design Studio – to personalize their new home.
