Brad Cook is a native of Kernersville, NC and he says he’s been swinging a hammer ever since he can remember. His grandfather was a farmer and a builder and Brad grew up doing quite a bit of both in his free time. At the farm, he did everything from shelling beans and feeding the livestock, to picking and priming tobacco. At the building sites, his grandfather taught him how to frame and roof houses, install windows and doors, and everything in between.
And although the family’s builder gene skipped a generation when his dad went to work for Piedmont Airlines, Brad took to the trades right away. He first became a construction manager in 2004 for McCar Homes in Greensboro and has been working his way east ever since. In 2011, he moved to Beaufort as a Manager for Safrits Building Supply, and in 2013 he moved to Wilmington to work as a Construction Manager for Bell Custom Homes in Leland and Isenhour Homes in Southport and Oak Island. Brad joined Trusst Builder Group in 2019 as Construction Manager.
When Brad isn’t working, he enjoys in-shore fishing, basketball and the occasional round of golf. He and his wife Nicole love the beach, anything to do with the water and the goofy antics of Fraser and Leonard, their two boxers. Most importantly, Brad and Nicole take great pride in the accomplishments of their daughter McKayla, a talented violinist who is pursuing a career in music law.
