Connie Frye

The most important people on construction crews don’t always carry a hammer. Connie Frye’s tools of choice are spreadsheets and calculators, and as Accounts Payable Clerk for Trusst Builder Group, her contributions are many. In this position, Connie is responsible for the timely payment of vendors and subs and keeping budgets and estimates on track.

Connie was born and raised in Pinehurst, NC, where her grandfather served as Fire Chief for 43 years and several uncles served as firemen. She and her siblings grew up playing in and around the fire house, so for Connie, putting out fires (both figuratively and literally) is something that comes natural to her!

Connie’s first introduction to the housing industry was at Clayton Homes, a national builder of manufactured, mobile and modular homes. Here, she handled accounts payable, processed loans, assisted with sales, customer relations and staff training and handled general office management. From Clayton, Connie moved on to Southern Homebuilders in Wilmington, where she worked in a variety of capacities, including Payroll Manager, Controller, Treasurer, Accounts Payable and Tax Manager. Prior to joining Trusst, Connie also worked with Forever Homes of Wilmington, Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation and American Building Systems (ABS).

When she is not working, Connie enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has two adult daughters, Samantha and Katlyn, and a high-energy Yorkshire Terrier named Ace. She loves music and dancing and is an active member of Temple Baptist Church in Wilmington.
