In 2012, Lisa and her husband Tony were tired of New Jersey’s weather and sky-high property taxes, so they went looking for a better lifestyle. What they found was Compass Pointe in Leland. Enamored with the neighborhood on their first visit, Lisa and Tony immediately purchased a home site and began planning their dream home. Then she began telling her New Jersey neighbors about Compass Pointe, and within weeks, she had nine old neighbors as new neighbors. Turns out that Lisa Smiraldi is quite good at selling real estate!
A massage therapist for 24 years, Lisa decided that a change in address was an excellent opportunity for a change in careers as well. She enrolled in real estate school, aced the exam with a resounding score of 98 and joined forces with the #1 real estate company in southeastern North Carolina – Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage. During her first three months as an agent, Lisa sold $1.3 million worth of residential real estate. And she hasn’t looked back since.
An avid animal lover, Lisa is the proud owner of two Chihuahuas, a Pomeranian and thanks to her 19-year-old daughter Jessica, two sugar gliders. Sugar gliders are affectionate little marsupials from southeast Asia akin to a flying squirrel and chipmunk. Lisa also loves to cook, entertain, and when time allows, ride Harleys through the NC mountains with her husband Tony.
