Construction Manager
Just outside of Baskerville, VA, there’s an old country lane called Bowers Road, named for the Bowers family and the 2,000-acre tobacco farm that has been in the family since 1850. Stanley Bowers, Construction Manager at Trusst Builder Group, grew up on that farm and worked tobacco every summer. Today, tobacco has given way to tree farming, but a portion of the farm still remains in the family.
At age 18, Stanley left the farm to work for the construction arm of Universal Tobacco Company, where he learned the trade by constructing modular homes and townhomes in Ocean City Maryland. Eventually, he started his own firm – Bowers Construction – which specialized in framing, siding and trim work.
Stanley’s career ultimately took him to North Carolina, and he settled in Youngsville, just outside of Raleigh. Here, he and Deri, his wife of more than 40 years, have built a wonderful life together. They have a son, Derek, a daughter Ashley, and two grandchildren, all of whom live in Raleigh and are eager to make many visits to the beach to visit the grandparents!
When Stanley isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding his Victory motorcycle, surf fishing and piloting his family and grandkids around on his 26’ pontoon boat.
